Mason, MI – May 29, 2025 – Seventeen-year-old racing prodigy Eric Wisniewski, a junior at Mason High School in Mason, Michigan, is gearing up to compete at the prestigious WeatherTech Chicago Region® June Sprints® at Road America on June 6-8, 2025. Representing Hillenburg Motorsports, Wisniewski will campaign in the Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour, a cornerstone of amateur motorsports, as he continues to lead the series standings.
The SCCA June Sprints, held annually at Road America’s iconic 4.048-mile, 14-turn circuit in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, is one of the most storied events in American motorsports. Since its inception in 1956, during Road America’s first full season of racing, the June Sprints has been a hallmark of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), initially serving as a key event in the SCCA National Sports Car Championship before evolving into a marquee stop on the Hoosier Super Tour. Now in its 70th consecutive year, the June Sprints may hold the distinction of being the longest consecutively held road race in America, drawing hundreds of competitors and fans to celebrate the sport’s rich heritage.
As part of the Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA Super Tour, the June Sprints offers a premier platform for drivers like Wisniewski to showcase their skills on a world-class track. The Super Tour, a series of race weekends at top venues across the United States, features two races per Runoffs-eligible car class, with Road America’s challenging layout serving as a critical test for drivers preparing for the SCCA National Championship Runoffs® in October. The event’s segmented timing, streaming video coverage, and dedicated staffing elevate the experience for competitors and fans alike.
Currently leading the Hoosier Super Tour Series in his class, Wisniewski has demonstrated remarkable talent and consistency throughout the 2025 season. Piloting the No. 25 Hillenburg Motorsports/RE-MAX Commercial SCCA Enterprises FE2 Mazda, he secured a commanding victory at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course earlier this month, taking Pole in both races, setting a new track record and sweeping 1st place in a competitive 13-car field. His performance at the June Sprints will be a pivotal moment in his campaign to maintain his lead and prepare for the Runoffs.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the support from Hoosier and Mazda this year,” said Wisniewski. “Their commitment has allowed me to race at amazing tracks across the country and compete at the highest level. I’m excited to take on Road America and continue pushing for the championship at the June Sprints.”
